تحتفل المملكة العربية السعودية في يوم 22 فبراير من كل عام باليوم الوطني، الذي يصادف ذكرى توحيد المملكة على يد الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود عام 1932، حيث أصدر مرسوماً ملكياً بتوحيد البلاد تحت اسم المملكة العربية السعودية.
وفي هذا اليوم من كل عام، تزدان شوارع وميادين المدن السعودية بالأعلام الخضراء وصور العلماء والملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز، احتفاءً بهذه المناسبة الوطنية الغالية. وينظم المواطنون والمقيمون العديد من الفعاليات والأنشطة الاحتفالية بهذه المناسبة، كالعروض الجوية والبحرية والبرية، والألعاب النارية، والمهرجانات الشعبية، والحفلات الغنائية، وغيرها.
وقال وزير الثقافة السعودي، الأمير بدر بن عبد الله بن فرحان آل سعود، في تصريح له بمناسبة اليوم الوطني: “إن اليوم الوطني هو مناسبة نفتخر بها جميعاً كسعوديين، فهو يوم نستذكر فيه جهود الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود في توحيد البلاد وتأسيس الدولة السعودية الثالثة، ونستلهم منه العزم والإصرار على مواصلة مسيرة التنمية والازدهار التي تشهدها المملكة في عهد خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز وولي عهده الأمين الأمير محمد بن سلمان”.
وأضاف الوزير: “إن اليوم الوطني هو أيضاً فرصة لتجديد الولاء والانتماء للوطن الغالي، والتعبير عن حبنا واعتزازنا به، والوقوف صفاً واحداً خلف قيادتنا الحكيمة في مواجهة التحديات وتحقيق تطلعات شعبنا الكريم”.
وقد أصدرت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء بيانات تظهر أن عدد سكان المملكة العربية السعودية بلغ 35 مليون نسمة بنهاية عام 2022، بزيادة قدرها 2.3% عن العام السابق، وفقاً للتقديرات السكانية. كما أشارت البيانات إلى أن عدد المواطنين السعوديين بلغ نحو 21 مليون نسمة، بنسبة 60% من إجمالي السكان، بينما بلغ عدد المقيمين الأجانب نحو 14 مليون نسمة، بنسبة 40%.
وفي هذا السياق، قال المتحدث الرسمي للهيئة العامة للإحصاء، تيسير المفرج، إن “النمو السكاني الذي تشهده المملكة يعكس الاستقرار السياسي والأمني والاقتصادي والاجتماعي الذي تتمتع به، وكذلك جاذبيتها للاستثمارات والكفاءات من مختلف دول العالم. كما أن هذا النمو يسهم في تعزيز دور المملكة كمركز إقليمي ودولي مهم في مختلف المجالات”.
وتحتفل المملكة العربية السعودية باليوم الوطني للمرة الـ92 هذا العام، حيث كانت أول احتفالية رسمية بهذه المناسبة في عام 1965، بأمر من الملك فيصل بن عبد العزيز. ومنذ ذلك الحين، أصبح اليوم الوطني عطلة رسمية في جميع القطاعات الحكومية والخاصة، ويحظى باهتمام واسع من قبل المواطنين والمقيمين على حد سواء.
وفي الختام، فإن اليوم الوطني للسعودية هو مناسبة وطنية عزيزة على قلوب جميع السعوديين، يستذكرون فيها تاريخهم المجيد وتضحيات آبائهم وأجدادهم في سبيل توحيد البلاد وبناء الدولة الحديثة. كما أنه فرصة للتعبير عن الولاء والانتماء للوطن الغالي، والتطلع إلى مستقبل أكثر إشراقاً وازدهاراً تحت راية التوحيد الخضراء.

This national occasion is celebrated throughout the Kingdom, where events and activities are held that highlight the history and heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Culture stated in its official statement: “Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of the First Saudi State, affirming the importance of this historical moment in building a bright future for our beloved homeland.”

It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since its establishment by King Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on him, has witnessed a qualitative leap in all fields, transforming from a tribal state to a modern state that enjoys a prestigious position at the regional and international levels. Official statistics state: “The Kingdom’s gross domestic product reached 2.97 trillion Saudi riyals in 2022, reflecting the remarkable economic growth the country is witnessing.”

In conclusion, the anniversary of the establishment of the First Saudi State by Imam Muhammad bin Saud, may Allah have mercy on him, remains a dear national occasion in the hearts of all Saudis. وأوضح آل الشيخ أن الهيئة خصصت ميزانية ضخمة لتنظيم هذه الفعاليات التي ستسهم في تنشيط الحركة السياحية الداخلية واستقطاب الزوار من خارج المملكة، متوقعاً أن يصل عدد الزوار خلال فبراير إلى أكثر من مليوني زائر.
وتأتي هذه الفعاليات ضمن رؤية المملكة 2030 الرامية إلى تنويع مصادر الدخل وتعزيز قطاع الترفيه والسياحة كأحد أهم القطاعات الواعدة في المملكة.
ومن المقرر أن تبدأ الفعاليات في 22 فبراير بإطلاق مهرجان “شتاء طنطورة” في العلا، والذي سيستمر لمدة شهرين متتاليين، ليشكل أحد أبرز المهرجانات السياحية في المملكة.

The First Saudi State continued under his sons and grandsons until 1818 AD, leaving behind a significant political and cultural legacy that still serves as a reference for the modern Saudi state.

At the conclusion of the symposium, participants emphasized that understanding the role of Prince Muhammad bin Saud is essential for understanding the course of Saudi Arabia’s history, praising the efforts made to document and study this foundational period of the country’s history.
