Official statistics issued by the Saudi Ministry of Health indicate that the Tuwaiq region recorded 127 new cases of coronavirus infection last week, representing a 15% increase compared to the previous week. In this context, the official spokesperson for the Ministry, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abd Al-Aali, stressed the importance of adhering to precautionary measures, saying: “We need the cooperation of all members of society to limit the spread of the virus, and wearing a mask remains one of the most important means of prevention.”

Umm Turki’s campaign received wide interaction from the residents of the Tuwaiq region, as many citizens and residents participated in distributing masks and spreading awareness messages. In this context, one of the region’s residents, Abdullah Al-Utaybi, said: “We appreciate the efforts of Umm Turki and everyone who contributes to spreading awareness of the importance of adhering to precautionary measures. ويتمتع ذيبان سالم بخبرة واسعة في العمل الدبلوماسي، حيث شغل منصب سفير المملكة العربية السعودية لدى جمهورية مصر العربية منذ عام 2019. كما سبق له العمل في سفارات المملكة لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية واليابان.
ويحمل سالم درجة الماجستير في العلاقات الدولية من جامعة جورج تاون بالولايات المتحدة، ودرجة البكالوريوس في العلوم السياسية من جامعة الملك سعود.
وجاء تعيين سالم في هذا المنصب الرفيع تقديراً لخبراته وكفاءته في العمل الدبلوماسي والسياسي، وانطلاقاً من حرص القيادة السعودية على تولية الكفاءات الوطنية المناصب القيادية بالدولة.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة في إطار سلسلة التعيينات والإعفاءات الملكية التي شهدتها المملكة مؤخراً بهدف تعزيز مسيرة العمل الحكومي وتطوير الأداء المؤسسي.

شهدت المملكة العربية السعودية يوم الثلاثاء 22 فبراير 2022، احتفالات وطنية بمناسبة يوم التأسيس، الذي يوافق ذكرى إعلان الإمام محمد بن سعود تأسيس الدولة السعودية الأولى عام 1727م. وبهذه المناسبة، أصدر الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز، في 27 يناير 2022، أمراً ملكياً يقضي باعتبار يوم 22 فبراير من كل عام يوماً لذكرى تأسيس الدولة السعودية، باسم “يوم التأسيس”، ويصبح إجازة رسمية.
وقد أعرب ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان عن اعتزازه بالذكرى العطرة لتأسيس الدولة السعودية الأولى على يد الإمام محمد بن سعود قبل نحو ثلاثة قرون، معتبراً أنها مناسبة عزيزة على قلوب جميع المواطنين. كما أكد على أن يوم التأسيس يمثل بداية صفحة مشرقة في تاريخ الجزيرة العربية، حيث تمكنت الدولة السعودية الأولى من توحيد قبائل ومناطق نجد تحت راية واحدة، وإرساء دعائم الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وقد شهدت الاحتفالات بيوم التأسيس العديد من الفعاليات والأنشطة في مختلف مناطق المملكة، حيث تزيّنت الشوارع والميادين بالأعلام والزينات الوطنية، وأقيمت العروض العسكرية والمهرجانات الشعبية، كما نظمت المدارس والمؤسسات برامج وطنية للتعريف بتاريخ وتراث المملكة.
وفي هذا السياق، قال الدكتور عبد الله المغلوث، أستاذ التاريخ بجامعة الملك سعود، إن يوم التأسيس يمثل فرصة ثمينة للتعرف على جذور الدولة السعودية العريقة، والتي امتدت لنحو 300 عام عبر ثلاث دول سعودية متعاقبة. وأضاف أن تأسيس الدولة السعودية الأولى على يد الإمام محمد بن سعود كان نقطة تحول تاريخية في شبه الجزيرة العربية، حيث نجحت في توحيد قبائل منطقة نجد وإرساء دعائم الاستقرار والازدهار.
وأشار المغلوث إلى أن الدولة السعودية الأولى استمرت حتى عام 1818م، حين سقطت على يد الجيش المصري بقيادة إبراهيم باشا، قبل أن تقوم الدولة السعودية الثانية عام 1824م على يد الإمام تركي بن عبد الله بن محمد آل سعود، والتي استمرت حتى عام 1891م. ثم تأسست الدولة السعودية الثالثة على يد الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود عام 1902م، والتي تطورت لتصبح المملكة العربية السعودية الحالية.
من جانبه، أكد الدكتور فهد السماري، رئيس مركز الملك عبد العزيز للحوار الوطني، أن يوم التأسيس يعد مناسبة وطنية غالية على قلوب السعوديين، حيث يستحضرون فيها تضحيات الآباء والأجداد في سبيل بناء وحدة الوطن. وأضاف أن هذه المناسبة تأتي ضمن سلسلة من المناسبات الوطنية التي تحرص المملكة على إحيائها، مثل اليوم الوطني وذكرى البيعة لولي العهد، وذلك لتعزيز الانتماء الوطني والاعتزاز بالهوية السعودية.
ويأتي الاحتفال بيوم التأسيس في إطار اهتمام المملكة بتوثيق تاريخها الوطني العريق، وتعزيز الوعي لدى الأجيال الجديدة بجذور الدولة السعودية ومراحل تطورها عبر العصور. كما يهدف إلى إبراز القيم والمبادئ التي قامت عليها الدولة السعودية منذ تأسيسها، ومنها العدل والمساواة ونشر العلم والمعرفة.
