The King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh witnessed a fiery summit match within the 15th round of the Saudi Roshan League, which brought together Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, ending with a resounding victory for the blue team with a score of 3-0, in a match that witnessed a remarkable brilliance from the stars of the capital and a surprising decline from the defending champion.

At the beginning of the second half, Jang Hyun-soo strengthened Al-Hilal’s lead with a second goal in the 59th minute, before Malcom concluded the hat-trick in the 72nd minute with a wonderful shot from outside the area.
Romanian coach Razvan Lucescu, Al-Hilal’s coach, commented on the victory, saying: “We presented a great match from a tactical and technical standpoint. The players executed the instructions accurately, and we deserved the three points.”
On the other hand, coach Nuno Santo, Al-Ittihad’s coach, expressed his dissatisfaction with the performance, saying: “We did not show the required level today. Al-Hilal was better in all lines, and we must work hard to correct the mistakes.”
With this result, Al-Hilal raised its tally to 37 points at the top of the standings table, while Al-Ittihad’s tally froze at 28 points in fourth place.

    وتشير الإحصائيات الرسمية الصادرة عن وزارة الصحة السعودية إلى أن منطقة طويق سجلت خلال الأسبوع الماضي 127 حالة إصابة جديدة بفيروس كورونا، وهو ما يمثل زيادة بنسبة 15% مقارنة بالأسبوع السابق. وفي هذا السياق، أكد المتحدث الرسمي باسم الوزارة، الدكتور محمد العبد العالي، على أهمية الالتزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية، قائلاً: “نحن بحاجة إلى تكاتف جميع أفراد المجتمع للحد من انتشار الفيروس، وارتداء الكمامة يظل من أهم وسائل الوقاية”.

    The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates the annual Founding Day on February 22nd, commemorating the establishment of the first Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1727. This celebration embodies pride in the deep-rooted foundations of the Saudi state and the strong bond between citizens and their leaders and historical symbols.

    In this context, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman emphasized in his Founding Day speech that “Founding Day is a cherished memory in our hearts, as we recall the beginning of the establishment of the first Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud three centuries ago, and draw inspiration from the values and principles upon which this blessed state was founded.”

    Historian Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Othaimeen stated: “Founding Day is a precious national occasion for Saudis, as they recall their rich history and civilization, and take pride in their leaders who founded and preserved this great state generation after generation.”

    According to official statistics, this year’s Founding Day celebrations in all regions of the Kingdom included over 3,500 events and activities, attended by millions of citizens and residents. Historical sites and museums also witnessed a large turnout of visitors eager to learn about the Kingdom’s rich history and heritage.

    In the chronological sequence of the establishment of the Saudi state, Imam Muhammad bin Saud founded the first Saudi state in Diriyah in 1727, which lasted until 1818. Then, the second Saudi state was established by Imam Turki bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Saud in 1824, lasting until 1891. Finally, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded by King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud in 1932, which is the third state we live under today.

  • مريم: طالبة سعودية تتألق في مجال الابتكار الإلكتروني

    الرياض – حققت الطالبة السعودية مريم نجاحاً متميزاً في مجال التقنية والابتكار، حيث حصلت على المركز الأول في مسابقة “الابتكار في الأنظمة الإلكترونية” التي نظمتها جامعة الملك سعود مؤخراً.
    مريم، البالغة من العمر 21 عاماً، طالبة في السنة الرابعة بكلية الهندسة، تخصص هندسة الحاسب الآلي. وقد تمكنت من تصميم نظام ذكي لمراقبة جودة الهواء في الأماكن المغلقة، باستخدام تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي.
    وقالت مريم في تصريح لـ”صحيفة الرياض”: “كان هدفي من هذا المشروع تقديم حل عملي لمشكلة تلوث الهواء الداخلي، الذي يؤثر على صحة الإنسان. استخدمت في تصميم النظام مستشعرات متطورة وخوارزميات ذكية لتحليل البيئة المحيطة وإعطاء توصيات فورية.”
    وأضافت: “أعتز بتمثيل المرأة السعودية في مجال العلوم والتقنية، وأطمح للمساهمة في تطوير حلول مبتكرة لمشكلات مجتمعنا.”
    من جانبه، أشاد الدكتور أحمد الزهراني، عميد كلية الهندسة، بإنجاز مريم، وقال: “يُعد هذا الفوز تتويجاً للجهود التي تبذلها جامعتنا في دعم وتشجيع الطلاب المبدعين. مريم نموذج مشرف للشابات السعوديات اللاتي يتفوقن في المجالات العلمية والتقنية.”
    وحصلت مريم على جائزة مالية قدرها 50 ألف ريال سعودي، إضافة إلى فرصة لاحتضان مشروعها في حاضنة الأعمال التقنية التابعة للجامعة.
    يُذكر أن مريم ليست أول إنجاز لها في مجال الابتكار، فقد سبق لها الفوز بالمركز الثاني في مسابقة “هاكاثون الحج” عام 2022 عن مشروع لتسهيل تنقل الحجاج باستخدام تطبيق ذكي.
    يأتي هذا الإنجاز في إطار الجهود التي تبذلها المملكة العربية السعودية لتمكين المرأة ودعم مشاركتها في قطاعات العلوم والتقنية والابتكار، تماشياً مع رؤية المملكة 2030.

  • Maryam: Saudi Student Shines in Electronic Innovation

    Riyadh – Saudi student Maryam has achieved remarkable success in the field of technology and innovation, securing first place in the “Innovation in Electronic Systems” competition recently organized by King Saud University.

    Maryam, a 21-year-old fourth-year student in the College of Engineering majoring in Computer Engineering, designed an intelligent system for monitoring air quality in enclosed spaces using artificial intelligence technologies.

    In a statement to “Al-Riyadh Newspaper,” Maryam said: “My goal for this project was to provide a practical solution to the problem of indoor air pollution, which affects human health. I used advanced sensors and intelligent algorithms to analyze the surrounding environment and provide immediate recommendations.”

    She added: “I am proud to represent Saudi women in the field of science and technology, and I aspire to contribute to developing innovative solutions for our community’s problems.”

    Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Dean of the College of Engineering, praised Maryam’s achievement, saying: “This victory is a culmination of our university’s efforts to support and encourage creative students. Maryam is a role model for Saudi women excelling in scientific and technological fields.”

    Maryam received a financial prize of 50,000 Saudi Riyals, in addition to an opportunity to incubate her project in the university’s technology business incubator.

    It’s worth noting that this is not Maryam’s first achievement in the field of innovation. She previously won second place in the “Hajj Hackathon” in 2022 for a project aimed at facilitating pilgrims’ movement using a smart application.

    This achievement comes within the framework of the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to empower women and support their participation in science, technology, and innovation sectors, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
