A new challenge has swept social media platforms in Saudi Arabia under the hashtag “#تحدي_حفيت” (Challenge of Shaving). Participants film themselves using sharp tools to completely shave their heads. This challenge has gained significant popularity, especially among Saudi youth, with many celebrities and social media activists taking part.

The “Shaving Challenge” began spreading in Saudi Arabia about a week ago, with some Saudi youths posting videos of themselves using razor blades or other sharp tools to shave their heads completely. The challenge quickly gained traction, particularly on the “TikTok” platform, where thousands of Saudis and Saudi women posted videos participating in the challenge.

Several Saudi celebrities and activists participated in the challenge, posting videos of themselves completely shaving their heads. Among the most prominent participants was Saudi fashionista Model Roz, who posted a video that garnered millions of views.

The challenge received significant interaction from Saudis, with many expressing their admiration for it and participating, while others criticized it, considering it a dangerous challenge that could cause physical harm to participants.

In this context, Dr. Fahd Al-Osaimi, a professor of sociology at King Saud University, said: “The Shaving Challenge is the latest trend in social media challenges sweeping the world, reflecting young people’s desire to attract attention and break routine. However, it also carries health and psychological risks.”

Al-Osaimi added: “Parents and schools should educate youth about the risks of such challenges and the necessity of not being drawn into them without thinking about the consequences.”

Dr. Khalid Al-Amri, a consultant dermatologist, said: “Using sharp tools to shave hair can cause wounds and scratches on the scalp, and may lead to serious skin infections if the tools are not properly sterilized.”

Al-Amri added: “I advise young people not to participate in such dangerous challenges and to seek safe and healthy entertainment methods.”

في إنجاز غير مسبوق، نجحت الشابة السعودية مريم بنت خالد العتيبي في تطوير تطبيق ذكي يهدف إلى تسهيل حياة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة. هذا الإنجاز يأتي ضمن جهود المملكة لتمكين المرأة في مجال التكنولوجيا والابتكار.
مريم، البالغة من العمر 27 عاماً، حاصلة على درجة البكالوريوس في علوم الحاسب الآلي من جامعة الملك سعود. بدأت رحلتها في عالم التكنولوجيا منذ الصغر، حيث كانت تهوى تصميم المواقع الإلكترونية وتطوير التطبيقات.
في عام 2022، شاركت مريم في مسابقة “هاكاثون ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة” التي نظمتها الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي (سدايا). وقدمت خلالها فكرة تطبيق “نور” الذي يساعد المكفوفين على التنقل بشكل مستقل داخل المباني العامة.
“كان هدفي من هذا التطبيق هو تمكين ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة وجعل حياتهم أسهل”، تقول مريم. “لقد استلهمت الفكرة من تجربة شخصية مع أحد أقاربي الذي يعاني من إعاقة بصرية”.
حصل تطبيق “نور” على المركز الأول في المسابقة، وحظي بإشادة واسعة من الحضور. كما جذب انتباه عدد من الشركات التقنية الكبرى في المملكة.
وفقاً للإحصائيات الرسمية، يوجد في السعودية أكثر من 3 ملايين شخص من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة. وتهدف رؤية المملكة 2030 إلى تحسين جودة حياتهم ودمجهم في المجتمع.
وتعليقاً على إنجاز مريم، قال الدكتور أحمد السبيعي، مستشار وزير الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات: “نفخر بمواهبنا الشابة التي تساهم في بناء مستقبل رقمي واعد للمملكة. مريم نموذج مشرف للمرأة السعودية الطموحة”.
حالياً، تعمل مريم على تطوير نسخة متقدمة من تطبيق “نور” بالتعاون مع الهيئة الملكية للرياض. كما تخطط لإطلاق شركة ناشئة متخصصة في تطوير حلول تقنية لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
“أطمح إلى أن أكون قدوة للشابات السعوديات وأشجعهن على دخول مجال التكنولوجيا”، تختتم مريم حديثها. “فبالعلم والإرادة، لا شيء مستحيل”.
يأتي نجاح مريم في وقت تسعى فيه المملكة إلى تعزيز دور المرأة في مختلف القطاعات، خاصة في مجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار. ومن المتوقع أن يسهم إنجازها في إلهام جيل جديد من المبتكرات السعوديات.

الرياض – توفي مساء أمس الاثنين الشيخ صالح بن عبد العزيز آل الشيخ، عضو هيئة كبار العلماء في المملكة العربية السعودية، عن عمر ناهز 75 عاماً.
وشيع جثمان الفقيد عقب صلاة عصر اليوم الثلاثاء من مسجد الإمام تركي بن عبد الله بالرياض، حيث أم الصلاة عليه الشيخ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله آل الشيخ، مفتي عام المملكة.
وكان الفقيد قد ولد عام 1946 في مدينة الرياض، وحفظ القرآن الكريم في صغره، ثم التحق بمعهد الرياض العلمي، وبعد تخرجه عمل مدرساً في المعهد المذكور.
وفي عام 1992 صدر أمر ملكي بتعيين الشيخ صالح عضواً في هيئة كبار العلماء، وظل في هذا المنصب حتى وفاته، مقدماً إسهامات علمية ودعوية متميزة.
وقد نعى الديوان الملكي الفقيد، معرباً عن بالغ الحزن والأسى، سائلاً الله أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ويسكنه فسيح جناته.
وأعرب العديد من المسؤولين والعلماء والدعاة عن تعازيهم الحارة لأسرة الفقيد وللشعب السعودي، مثنين على مسيرته العلمية والدعوية المباركة.
رحم الله الشيخ صالح بن عبد العزيز آل الشيخ وأسكنه فسيح جناته، وألهم أهله وذويه ومحبيه الصبر والسلوان.

أصدر خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، أمراً ملكياً بإعفاء صالح بن عبدالرحمن بن سليمان المغامسي من منصبه كمحافظ لمحافظة الخرج، وتعيين فهد بن محمد بن عبدالرحمن بن داحس بدلاً منه.
جاء هذا القرار ضمن سلسلة من الأوامر الملكية التي صدرت يوم الأربعاء 4 أكتوبر 2023، والتي شملت إعفاء عدد من الأمراء ونواب الوزراء وتعيين بدلاء لهم.
وعبر المغامسي عن شكره وتقديره لخادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي عهده الأمين على الثقة التي أوليت له، متمنياً التوفيق للأمير فهد بن داحس في مهامه الجديدة.
يُذكر أن المغامسي تولى منصب محافظ الخرج منذ عام 2015، وخلال فترة توليه شهدت المحافظة العديد من المشاريع التنموية والخدمية.
