King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, issued a royal decree appointing Prince Mohammed bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as the Emir of Riyadh Region, succeeding Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz.

Prince Mohammed bin Saud had been serving as the Deputy Emir of Riyadh Region since 2017, demonstrating high efficiency in managing the emirate’s affairs and implementing development projects. He has also made significant contributions to supporting both the government and private sectors in the region.

Riyadh Region is one of the largest regions in the Kingdom in terms of area and population, covering approximately 380,000 square kilometers and home to over 8 million people according to the latest official statistics.
